March 6th  2010 – Biggest So Far For Les Vaughan

Having only started fishing again in the 2008-2009 season, after a long lay-off, member Les Vaughan

Has caught his biggest carp on the canal – on the evening of Saturday 6th March 2010 (sub-zero temperature that night).

Fishing one of his favourite spots, Les caught the carp shown below, which weighed 29lb 2 ounces.

Thats only 10 ounces short of our canal record for a carp.

I reckon Les has earned himself a free permit for the 2010-2011 season.

Except that, being a member with Mytchett Lake, he already gets a free permit!

Well done once again Les!

(Les is the one with the big shiney eye in the middle of his forehead).
